Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Appointments
We try our best to accommodate our patients as much as possible when scheduling appointments. We have found that children with extensive dental work or preschool children are better to be seen early in the morning when they are fresher and can have a more positive experience. Some appointments may require the child to miss some school; however, these are considered excused absences. With continued care, appointments during school can be kept to a minimum.
Cancellations/Missed Appointments
Woodroffe Pediatric Dentistry strives to provide quality care to our patients in a timely and efficient manner. However, the current demand for paediatric dental services has meant that there is a significant wait list of children who require urgent care. We do our best to bring these children in for treatment when other families need to reschedule their appointments. Missed appointments and short notice cancellations prevent us from efficiently helping these children who are in pain or otherwise need urgent care. To help facilitate this, we require at least 2 business days notice if your child's appointment must be modified. Therefore, missed appointments or cancellations with less than 2 business days notice will be subject to a $75 fee per child.
Insurance
Our philosophy is to provide for your child the best, comprehensive and appropriate care. We will assist you in submitting claims for insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary greatly, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. We will be pleased to provide for you a predetermination form which can be submitted to your insurance company in advance of treatment so as to assist you in determining your coverage under the dental plan. Payment for treatment is due at time of the treatment. As a convenience to you, we are pleased to accept payment via cash, debit, Visa or Master Card. We regret that we are unable to accept payment by personal cheque. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.
Emergencies
We provide emergency after-hours care to the best of our ability for our patients. If unable to reach us after hours, additional emergency care is available through the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa Dental Society.
